First awarded in 1977, the American Image Awards stands as an emblem of honour. It’s discerningly awarded to those brands or behind the scenes individuals who have exemplified with relation to market leadership or manufacturing excellence. It basically consecrates outstanding achievers in all sectors which make up the American textile industry. Prizes winners come from all sectors of the apparel and footwear industry, including education, design, manufacturing, as well as retail.
On Monday April 27, 2015, the AIA awards will be presented to five recipients for outstanding achievement. Don’t hesitate to follow link further below, to take an inside look on this year’s three AAFA honourees.
We’re therefore rather chuffed to be able to speak about events like these. It’s great to see how America prides itself – it doesn’t leave any behind – showing that they’ve clearly understood that the textile industry is right up there; next to agriculture and automobiles. This should therefore be considered as being “food for thought” for many other countries if not continents. Namely Europe, as there is nothing like this there. Perhaps if Europe recompensed its own textile industry legends in this way… then it would not be so deindustrialised!
Recent efforts in this line have taken place in France. We’re referring to the BFM Business Awards, which are a great private initiative mind you but; shouldn’t these come from government bodies? In any case, there is nothing like the American Image Awards elsewhere; so we’re absolutely jealous – in a positive way of course!
Well done America
